Republicans endorse Democrat. Is it proof that their party is still in shambles?

Republicans are not backing a democrat. Gingrich was backing Sozzafava. The Republicans are throwing their support behind the conservative Hoffman. Gingrich sticks to the party, and that is a bad thing. Everyone should support the one they feel will best serve the people. For that matter, I do not care the way the Democrats or Republicans defend their party. While they are defending parties, they are doing a disservice to the public.
